Shrewsbury have beaten Cheltenham to the signing of Bristol Rovers' Craig Disley on a two-year contract. The midfielder joined Rovers in 2004 from Mansfield and made 242 appearances, scored 27 goals, during his five-year spell for the Pirates. The 27-year-old was released by Rovers boss Paul Trollope at the end of the League One season. Disley was part of the Rovers side who beat Shrewsbury in the League Two play-off final two years ago.
