Rovers refreshed for Shrimpers clash

The Pirates were humbled 5-1 at Norwich in their last game, and were denied the chance to put it right when their planned clash with Leeds last Saturday was postponed due to international call-ups. But the enforced rest period has allowed defender Danny Coles to improve his fitness after almost a year out with a knee injury. Coles has played in every league game this season since returning from the injury but has taken the opportunity to ease the burden on his knee in the last fortnight, while Aaron Lescott has also been able to recover from a groin injury he was carrying. With no other injuries to concern Trollope, several squad players such as Dominic Blizzard and Steve Elliott were also given a run out in a reserve game with Cardiff and the manager believes his men have responded well to the time off. "We have trained right through but used the opportunity to our advantage," he said. "We were disappointed the Leeds game was called off but we thought we could use the time to improve one or two aspects from the defeat at Norwich."
