Rovers boss hails Pirates striker

The former Bournemouth striker is battling to break up Rovers' 35-goal front pairing of Rickie Lambert and Darryl Duffy. Kuffour's role has been limited to that of 'super sub' in recent weeks as Duffy, in particular, has enjoyed a fine run of form. Trollope said: "Jo Kuffour's attitude has been terrific since he has been on the bench and he is waiting for that opportunity, and when he has come on he has given us plenty of food for thought. "He made a difference at Crewe when we pegged them back. His strength and ability caused them problems and perhaps on another night he would have probably got a couple of goals himself. "Jo is exceptional when we pin teams back. If we get the ball into his feet that is when he can produce a bit of magic. He causes teams problems."
