Regan wants Pirates push

Bristol Rovers defender Carl Regan is confident the club has now found a formula to be successful in npower League One this season. After a difficult start to the season which saw Rovers win only one of their opening six league games as well as getting thrashed 6-1 by Oxford in the Carling Cup, Paul Trollope`s side have found their form and now lie just one point off the play-off places. Regan, who has started the last nine matches, said that the Pirates already have a system to win away from home and the 2-1 win at home to Rochdale at the weekend illustrated the way they need to play at the Memorial stadium from now on. He told the Bristol Evening Post: "We saw against Rochdale on Saturday that they played 4-4-3 going forward, but had five across midfield when they were defending and were hard to break down. When teams play like that it means you have to stay patient and keep on believing in what you are doing. We got our reward for that on Saturday. "Our away form hasn't been too bad. We've defended well and then hit teams on the counter-attack, so hopefully we can do it again. "Any team that has a settled side - and a settled back four - is going to benefit. That has happened here over the last few weeks and, hopefully, it can continue."
