Terriers goalkeeper Alex Smithies saved a 16th-minute penalty from Daryl Duffy but could not keep out Jeff Hughes' spot-kick seven minutes from time. Trollope said: "It was an excellent all-round performance against a very good Huddersfield team, who we expect to be up there challenging when it matters. "We defended strongly throughout and played some decent football going forward. It's early days, but we are pleased to have made a good start, particularly after losing our opening game." Trollope also confirmed that Hughes would remain the club's penalty taker, adding: "I hadn't seen Jeff take a penalty before and there were a few doubters on the bench. "But the grass was a bit long so I was pleased to see him get the ball in the air. The job is his now."
