Pirates desire delights Trollope
All three goals came in the first half with Jo Kuffour and Aaron Lescott sealing the points for Rovers after Denis Behan had opened the scoring for the hosts.
The Pirates won at Stockport on Saturday and Trollope was happy with another three-point haul away from home.
He said: "It was a heartening away performance and you can't argue that we didn't deserve something from it.
"We had to defend for long spells in the second half and Hartlepool really pushed us but I thought we held on well.
"I thought the lads' attitude was spot on and we battled hard right until the end."
