Pirates closing in on signings
The club are in talks with several transfer targets.
Rovers are known to be targeting defenders and midfielders after releasing Joe Jacobson, Ryan Green, Craig Hinton and Craig Disley at the end of last season.
Chairman Nick Higgs told the Evening Post: "There has been lots of progress. We are talking to a number of players and I will be meeting with the management team to discuss that and hopefully progress things further.
"With a bit of luck, in the next couple of weeks we will be making an announcement."
