Pirates boss wants winning mentality

The Pirates have made a fine start to the new season and sit third in League One after their last-gasp defeat of Oldham on Saturday. Trollope wants his players to adapt to being among the division's pacesetters - even if it means having to disappoint their fans in the process. "I can understand the frustration if we are not 2-0 up in the first half when we are at home," he told the Bristol Evening Post. "That is the expectation we have created - and we have created the expectation of flowing football as well. "When we come up against teams at home, that is going to be the case. I think it is important we stay patient, keep a strong mentality and keep believing in the things we are trying to do."
