Pirates announce local sponsor

Rovers devised the raffle-like draw as a unique way to tackle the credit crunch and give a small business a fantastic opportunity to get involved with the club. It cost businesses £1,000 per ticket for the chance to win the shirt sponsorship package. Training and recruitment company N-Gaged, based in Longwell Green, bought six tickets and were the lucky firm to be pulled out of the bag. The second prize - sponsorship of Rovers' away strip - was won by Stevens Hewlett & Perkins, a firm of solicitors in Bristol city centre. Third prize of an advertisement hoarding at the Memorial Ground went to Somerset-based Guitarbiz, an online firm selling guitars.
