Phillips returns to Pirates fold
Phillips flew out to Turkey earlier this week to hold talks with the Super League club but failed to agree terms and was back in training with the Pirates on Thursday morning.
Manager Paul Trollope told the club's official website: "Steve Phillips is back in training. The deal didn't happen in Turkey, so he is back with us and nothing has changed.
"We said before we went out that if he went we would wish him good luck in the rest of his career. It didn't work out for one reason or another, he is back training and there is competition now for the goalkeeping spot."
