The forward was on target in Saturday's thrilling 3-2 home win over Carlisle to end a run of six matches without scoring.

It took his tally for the season to six and left Trollope paying a rich tribute to the former Arsenal trainee.

Trollope said: "He'd been on a barren run, but he's been working hard in training and in games and I'm delighted for him that he scored.

"We've tweaked his role a bit, but his sharpness and movement is crucial for us.

"He's got six goals already, so we're pleased that he's on his way to reaching the sort of target he'll be looking for."
