Hoskins hoping to make mark

Bristol Rovers striker Will Hoskins wants to become the talk of the town at the expense of Rickie Lambert. Former Rovers hitman Lambert returns to the memorial ground with Southampton this weekend. He has been the top scorer in League One for the past two seasons, but Hoskins - a summer recruit from Watford - is using that as a motivation to become the name on Rovers fans' lips. "If you ask any striker whether they want to finish as the top scorer in their league, then of course they are going to say yes," Hoskins told the Evening Post. "There's still a lot of talk about what Rickie did here, but he's with Southampton now. If we can win promotion this season and I'm top scorer, then there'll be no more talk about Rickie Lambert. "He did a great job here, but we need to move on as a club and not keep looking at the past. We have to look to the future."
