Higgs hails resolute Pirates

Rovers chairman Nick Higgs believes the Pirates' successive draws at promotion-chasers Brighton and Charlton could signal an upturn in the club's fortunes this season. Paul Trollope's side snatched a stoppage-time equaliser at leaders Brighton to draw 2-2 and held second-placed Charlton 1-1 last weekend. Higgs told the club's official website: "Although I would have gladly taken a point from both Brighton and Charlton, I cannot help thinking that we could have come away with at least four points from the two fixtures. "But these two games have definitely given us a platform to build from and hopefully we can take that forward and push on with our season." Higgs added: "We now turn our attention to Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy area semi-final match against Exeter. "We're now just three games away from a trip to Wembley, so we must not underestimate the significance of next week's tie."
