Daniels relishing regular action

West Brom goalkeeper Luke Daniels has spoken of his delight after securing regular first-team football with a season-long loan move to Bristol Rovers. Daniels, who has spent time on loan with Motherwell, Shrewsbury and Tranmere over the last few seasons, recently signed a new two-year deal at The Hawthorns but is now bidding to get more game time under his belt in the Football League. There is no recall clause in the deal, meaning the 22-year-old will remain on loan with Rovers for the whole campaign and he told the club's official website: "It's not the best situation but I did have the option to stay at West Brom and play reserve team football but I don't want to do that. "I want to be playing league football week in, week out, so I pushed towards getting a deal where I could be playing regular league football. "Whilst it might be a good thing for Rovers, it's also good for me as well because I know where I am for the season. "When I was at Shrewsbury it was for a month initially and was then extended on more than one occasion. It was straight through (at Tranmere) last season, and will be again this time around, so it's better for me as well."
