Campbell back for Rovers

Bristol Rovers boss Dave Penney looks set to have captain Stuart Campbell available for the relegation six-pointer against Dagenham. The midfielder has been missing for the last four weeks through a hamstring injury but made his comeback for the reserves on Wednesday. Left-back Gary Sawyer is also expected to be available after recovering from the dead leg, which caused him to miss the 1-0 home defeat to Colchester in midweek. Striker Rene Howe should retain his starting place following the extension of his loan spell from Peterborough, but fellow loanee Scott Davies has returned to parent club Reading after Penny decided against prolonging his stay. On-loan Brentford centre-back Dave McCracken and Welsh defender Byron Anthony are doubtful as they continue to struggle with hamstring and ankle problems respectively.
