Bristol Rovers new boy Rory Gaffney could make home debut against Wycombe

Bristol Rovers boss Darrell Clarke could hand a second successive start and a home debut to new signing Rory Gaffney in Tuesday's Sky Bet League Two clash with Wycombe.

The 26-year-old striker went straight into the side which drew 1-1 with Exeter at the weekend, having joined the Pirates on loan from Cambridge, and midfielder Lee Mansell liked what he saw.

"I thought he made a fantastic debut, considering we met him the day before," Mansell told Gas Player. "He's pretty different to what we've got in terms of strikers. Rory's quite raw, a bit of a bruiser, will take a whack and he holds the ball up very well as well."

Rovers have picked up just one point from their last three games, but Clarke has a fully fit squad at his disposal for the visit of Wanderers.

Wycombe's new signings James Ferry and Jermaine Udumaga could make their debuts at the Memorial Stadium.

The pair joined Wanderers from Brentford last week but did not feature in their 2-2 home draw against Portsmouth.

Victory over 12th-placed Rovers could see Wycombe enter the play-off places and manager Gareth Ainsworth will be hoping midfielder Stephen McGinn will be available after being ruled out at the weekend with a knock.

Defender Joe Jacobson (back) and midfielder Marcus Bean (ankle) are both missing from the squad.
