O'Toole blow for Rovers

Bristol Rovers will be without key man John-Joe O'Toole when they host Morecambe.

The 15-goal attacker will sit out the final game of his two-match ban for picking up 10 yellow cards this season as his side look to end a run of four matches with a victory.

Manager John Ward altered his formation for the loss at Fleetwood on Tuesday, starting with a 4-4-2 for the first time since November, and it remains to be seen whether he sticks with that system and the front two of Matt Harrold and Steven Gillespie.

Kaid Mohamed and Chris Beardsley will both hope to be handed recalls having dropped to the bench at Highbury but fellow forwards Ryan Brunt and Alan Gow remain long-term injury absentees.

Jordan Mustoe could feature for Morecambe after rejoining the club on loan.

The Wigan full-back spent time with the Shrimps in 2012 and Jim Bentley swooped on loan deadline day to bring him back to the Globe Arena for the remainder of the season.

Bentley is unlikely to welcome any of his injured players back into the fold with Stewart Drummond (toe), Shaun Beeley (hamstring) and Andy Parrish (knee) still missing.

Full-back Beeley is the closest to returning after running again in training this week while Bentley is hopeful Parrish is not far behind because of his ability to recover quickly from injuries.
