Bristol Rovers hope for Stuart Sinclair boost

Bristol Rovers hope to have Stuart Sinclair available for Hartlepool's visit to the Memorial Stadium.

Midfielder Sinclair missed Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Wycombe with a groin injury but has a chance of being fit for the Sky Bet League Two fixture.

Top scorer Matty Taylor, Chris Lines and Tom Parkes were all dropped to the bench at Wycombe as Rovers boss Darrell Clarke rotated his squad.

Ellis Harrison is back in full contact training after being sidelined for five weeks by an ankle injury, and the striker will hope to feature against opponents he played two games for during a loan spell last month.

Hartlepool boss Craig Hignett will make late decisions over Dan Jones and Michael Woods as he looks to build upon Saturday's creditable 0-0 draw with runaway leaders Northampton.

Full-back Jones has missed the last two games with a knee problem, while midfielder Woods has been nursing a hamstring strain, and both will be assessed.

Midfielder Michael Duckworth will be missing for up to three weeks longer after undergoing hernia surgery, while defender Harry Worley continues to work his way back from a long-standing ankle problem.

Pools go into the game sitting just two points clear of the relegation zone, although they have three games in hand on both 23rd-placed York and Yeovil, who are just a point better off.
