Billy Bodin and Cristiano Montano set for Rovers return

Billy Bodin and Cristiano Montano could return as Bristol Rovers seek to stay in the Sky Bet League Two automatic promotion hunt at home to Exeter.

Rovers dropped out of the top three after drawing 0-0 at Stevenage on Tuesday when Pirates boss Darrell Clarke dispensed with a flat back four and went with wing-backs and three central defenders.

But nine-goal Bodin came on at half-time when Clarke changed system again, and the former Wales Under-21 forward seems set to provide extra firepower as Rovers attempt to record an eighth straight home win.

Colombian winger Montano may also start if Rovers revert to a 4-4-2 formation, while club captain Mark McChrystal and veteran Liam Lawrence hope to return to the matchday squad after missing out at Stevenage.

Exeter hope to have Joel Grant and Clinton Morrison back for the short trip north.

The Grecians, still in with an outside chance of a play-off place but up against hosts vying for an automatic spot, have had to do without Grant and Morrison through injury for the midfielder and the experienced striker's recent illness.

Veteran Matt Oakley is again unlikely to be fit in time, because of his back spasm, but may yet be available before the end of the season.

Exeter have play-off hopes of their own but are five points shy of Wimbledon in seventh.
