Hensall set for Rovers outing

Bristol Rovers boss John Ward is set to keep faith with Alex Henshall against Chesterfield as his side look for their first Sky Bet League Two victory in nine games.

The Manchester City loanee made a perfect start to life with the Pirates, scoring just four minutes into his first start for the club against Accrington on Tuesday, only for his new employers to slip to another defeat.

And with David Clarkson suspended after a straight red card in last weekend's defeat to Wycombe the striker will get another opportunity to impress.

Ward hopes to have fellow forwards Eliot Richards (hamstring) and Matt Harrold (groin) available and he will assess the pair ahead of kick-off.

Chesterfield have no new problems as they head to the Memorial Stadium looking to end their hoodoo.

Full-backs Nathan Smith and Drew Talbot are expected to remain the only players unavailable to manager Paul Cook, who this weekend will hope to mark his one-year anniversary at the club by ending the Spireites current five-game winless run in Sky Bet League Two.

Should he manage to do so, it will be Chesterfield's first ever league win at Rovers and their first victory in the blue half of Bristol in any competition since 1965.

On loan defender Ryan Edwards will return to Blackburn after the game on Saturday while Chris Porter, on loan from Sheffield United, may struggle to make the squad following the return to fitness of Marc Richards and Armand Gnanduillet.
