Liam Lawrence could boost Bristol Rovers

Bristol Rovers could be boosted by the return of Liam Lawrence when they welcome Cambridge to the Memorial Stadium.

The 34-year-old has been missing since sustaining a calf injury in Rovers' 2-0 victory over Notts County at the beginning of March, but is close to making his comeback.

Boss Darrell Clarke will be without Tom Lockyer, Oliver McBurnie and Ellis Harrison who are all on international duty.

Ollie Clarke was a late inclusion in the starting line-up against Newport last weekend after Lee Mansell sustained a muscle injury in the warm-up. And after scoring the opening goal in a 4-1 victory at Rodney Parade, Clarke is in contention to retain his place in the side.

Cambridge are without on-loan pair Ryan Ledson and Shane O'Neill, who are on international duty.

Everton's Ledson is away with England Under-19s, while O'Neill, who is on loan from Apollon Limassol, is with the United States' Under-23s.

Midfielder Ryan Donaldson is missing once again with a knee problem.

Conor Newton remains out due to a back-related hamstring injury, while Barry Corr (knee) and Greg Taylor (ankle) are absent for the rest of the campaign.
