Darrell Clarke faces midfield dilemma as Bristol Rovers host AFC Wimbledon

Stuart Sinclair will be sweating on a Bristol Rovers recall when they entertain AFC Wimbledon in Sky Bet League One.

Midfielder Sinclair played in 20 of Rovers' opening 22 league games, but was rested on Boxing Day as the Pirates returned to form with a 4-1 victory over Coventry.

Veterans Lee Mansell and Liam Lawrence have also added to Darrell Clarke's midfield numbers following long-term injuries and both made cameo appearances against Coventry.

Billy Bodin will be rewarded for his Boxing Day hat-trick by making two consecutive league starts for the first time since the middle of September.

AFC Wimbledon will be without striker Lyle Taylor as they travel to the Memorial Stadium.

The 26-year-old was sent off in the Dons 3-0 defeat to Southend on Boxing Day and faces a one match suspension.

The trip comes too soon for Chris Whelpdale, who is recovering from a groin problem, and Will Nightingale remains sidelined after knee surgery.

Manager Neal Ardley has no fresh injury concerns.
