Clucas out for Rovers

Seanan Clucas will miss Bristol Rovers' clash with AFC Wimbledon.

The young midfielder is awaiting a specialist's report to determine the extent of the knee injury he suffered while on international duty with Northern Ireland's Under-21 squad.

His absence means John Ward's selection headache, which meant he could name just five substitutes for the 0-0 draw with Cheltenham on Tuesday night, shows no sign of easing.

Mark McChrystal (knee), Danny Woodards (knee), Jim Paterson (ankle), Fabian Broghammer (knee), Garry Kenneth (groin) and Ollie Clarke (hamstring) are all sidelined, Ryan Brunt (knee) looks set to miss out again while Chris Beardsley and John-Joe O'Toole serve the second game of their three-match bans.

AFC Wimbledon could be unchanged.

Defender Will Antwi (hernia), winger Chris Arthur (ankle) and striker Charlie Strutton (broken leg) are the only players in the treatment room and they are long-term casualties.

Jim Fenlon, Kevin Saint-Luce and Charlie Sheringham played for the reserves in midweek to keep up their fitness but they are only likely to make the bench.

Charlton loanee Michael Smith scored his ninth goal of the season in the 1-1 midweek draw with Dagenham and keeps his place up front with Jack Midson among the subs again.
