Boss happy with friendly outing

A Rickie Lambert penalty and a goal from Jeff Hughes helped the Pirates come away from their pre-season friendly at Whaddon Road with a result and Trollope was more than happy. "It was competitive and it's what we expected from Cheltenham," he told his club's official website. "There were a lot of pleasing aspects, but it's another game under our belt and a number of players got their first 90 minutes of action which is also pleasing. "I was pleased with our commitment. We need to tighten up on quite a few things but we are confident that the games and the training will do that in the next couple of weeks. We are exactly where we wanted to be in terms of our preparation."
