Blizzard misses Rovers opener

The Pirates will take on Torquay at Plainmoor as part of a two-day training camp in the south west but midfielder Blizzard, signed from Stockport earlier this month, is still trying to shake off a throat and chest infection. "We have tried to ease Dominic into training and do bits and pieces with him, but unfortunately his chest and throat infection have not cleared up," Rovers boss Paul Trollope told the Evening Post. "He has seen the doctor and got some different antibiotics, but he will miss the trip to Cornwall and the Torquay game. Hopefully the antibiotics will work and he can join us again on Monday and start his own mini pre-season. "Apart from that we have a fully-fit squad and the players are looking forward to getting out on the pitch after a very intense couple of weeks."
