Blizzard hoping to go down a storm

Blizzard has struggled for first-team opportunities after illness affected his preparations shortly after he joined from Stockport in the summer.

The 26-year-old, who has been criticised in recent games, admits it is frustrating but is hoping to be back to his best before long.

He told the official website: "I'm still lacking sharpness. I'm someone who wants something straightaway and I have to be more realistic really. I've only just played my fourth or fifth game in about four months.

"I just need games really and then my sharpness will come and I'll be starting to use my brain on a football pitch which will be nice for me because I just feel like I'm going through the motions at the moment.

"I've just got to take every positive. Every time I play a minute I'm going to be getting somewhere near where I think I should be playing at."
