Andersen has penned a one-month loan extension with a view to signing a deal until the end of the season once the managerial situation has been sorted out at parent club Reading.

The Denmark Under-21 international says he is "delighted" to be staying with the Gas for the time being and says he wants to keep playing to impress national head coach Morten Olsen.

"I want to be involved in the Denmark squad, but to do that I have to be playing games - and hopefully that's what will happen if I can stay here for the rest of the season," he told the Evening Post.

"If the national coach is coming over to watch me, I'll do whatever I can to get in the squad."
