10-man Tranmere frustrate Pirates
Anthony was stretchered off just before the break with a leg problem after a last ditch challenge on Tranmere striker Bas Savage.[LNB]Tranmere's left-back Zoumana Bakayogo was red carded for a second bookable offence in injury time.[LNB]Paul McLaren and Ian Thomas-Moore missed early chances for the visitors, while Jeff Hughes and Paul Heffernan went close for Rovers at the death.[LNB]But there were few scoring opportunities in between, although Tranmere goalkeeper Luke Daniels did well to keep out a 35th-minute free-kick from Chris Lines.[LNB]Tranmere defended with discipline and organisation to frustrate their opponents and earn a well deserved point.[LNB][LNB][LNB]
