Wigley joins up
New Bristol City manager Keith Millen has named Steve Wigley as his assistant.
Former Southampton boss Wigley, 48, will continue his current role with the England under-21s but has agreed a one-year rolling contract at Ashton Gate.
Millen, who took the City reins after Steve Coppell's shock resignation last week, told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to appoint Steve as my assistant because he offers us great experience, both internationally and from the Premier League.
"Steve is still involved with the England under-21s and their boss Stuart Pearce, which is a great connection for the club to have.
"He's got a great knowledge of the game but the most important thing is Steve hasn't worked at Bristol City before and comes in with a fresh pair of eyes.
"I was conscious that I've been here with the players for a long time - which is a good thing in management - but also I think it's important they have a different voice coaching them at times with different ideas."
