Last season`s leading goal scorer is back in training after recovering from knee surgery. Sidelined since the beginning of July, the 23-year-old was due to return to action in a friendly fixture against Wolves on Tuesday. But the big freeze has seen the behind-closed-doors game postponed.
"It looks as though Nicky will have to build up his fitness on the training ground," said City boss Keith Millen.
"He is still making good progress and the medics are pleased with his knee. But when you have been out for as long as he has, you need games to rediscover match sharpness.
"It's a case of waiting for the weather to improve and then seeing what we can sort out for Nicky. In the meantime, he will continue to train and build up his strength and fitness that way."
