Swans move for Trundle and Beattie

Trundle, 32, returns to the club on loan until January 1, after scoring 86 goals during a four-year spell between 2003 and 2007. He joined Bristol for £1million in August in 2007, but has failed to make an impression at Ashton Gate and was told by manager Gary Johnson that he would need to leave to secure first-team football. Trundle will go straight into the Swansea squad for their clash with Watford on Saturday, while their is an option for the deal to be extended until the end of the season. Beattie, 25, has agreed a three-year deal at the Liberty Stadium with an undisclosed club-record fee to be paid over the course of the next 12 months. The former Celtic man will have a medical on Thursday night with a view to going straight into Paulo Sousa's squad for Saturday's clash with Watford.
