Sky Blues seal McIndoe deal

The Sky Blues agreed an undisclosed fee with the Robins over the weekend before McIndoe sorted out personal terms on Monday, signing a two-year deal 24 hours later after passing a medical. The 29-year-old former Wolves man becomes Coventry's second signing of the summer after Sammy Clingan and provides a much-needed boost ahead of Sunday's Championship opener against Ipswich at the Ricoh Arena. Manager Chris Coleman, who had been tracking McIndoe for some time, told the club's official website: "This is a very good signing for us. Michael has proved himself right at the top of the Championship and is just the type of player we have been looking for. "He will give us natural width down the left side, something we have needed for some time, is very good at running at defences and is also excellent in front of goal, as we know from last season when he scored against us at the Ricoh." He added: "I am still looking to strengthen because we have been very unlucky with the injury to James McPake and the chairman and board have been working hard to make that happen."
