Colin Sexstone has spoken of his immense pride at the prospect of replacing Steve Lansdown as Bristol City chairman. Lansdown will step down at the end of the season after almost nine years in the role. Sexstone, who has been involved with the club for a decade, will fill the position with Guy Price taking on his job as chief executive. "As a Bristolian, a Bedminster-boy, it's a remarkable honour. I'm proud to be given this chance. I look forward to it. It's a new challenge for me and one I relish," said Sexstone. "I will stay involved in negotiations with the new stadium project, as well as my role on the football side, but also managing the board on behalf of the shareholders. "Steve Lansdown has overseen a remarkable period for the club, getting ourselves out of League One and pushing at the top of the Championship, almost reaching the top flight. "We have fantastic plans to move to a new stadium and that's all been under Steve's watch, not forgetting the large financial support he has given the club."
