Robins to check on Stead
Bristol City will continue to monitor leading scorer Jon Stead ahead of the visit of the striker`s former club Sheffield United.
Stead has been nursing an ankle problem for a couple of weeks but has started the games against Leeds and Leicester since sustaining the injury.
"We will assess him again on Friday, like we have done the last few weeks," said boss Keith Millen. "But we have got Brett Pitman and Davis Clarkson, who were both on the scoresheet last weekend and who are showing good confidence and form."
Captain Louis Carey will remain sidelined with the shin and ankle injuries he sustained in the defeat at Leeds a fortnight ago. The defender could come back into the reckoning for next weekend`s trip to Nottingham Forest.
