The 21-year-old forward has put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal with the Robins and is set to make his debut in a friendly against Dutch giants Ajax on Wednesday. Londoner Haynes, who can operate as a striker or a winger, joined Ipswich in 2005 after graduating from Charlton's academy and has represented England at Under-19 level. Haynes told the club's official website: "I like Bristol City as a club, I think this is a fresh challenge and I'm confident I can do well here. "The move has come around quite quickly but I'm delighted with it. Roy Keane (the Ipswich manager) has brought in new signings ans has other plans for other people, so this change is right for me. "I've been at Ipswich for five years and their coaching staff have done a lot for me. It was hard to leave, but I'm sure this move to Bristol City is the one I need at this time in my career."
