Reports in the national media had claimed the Robins were preparing a £1.5million bid for the in-form marksman, whose goals helped guide the Iron to the Championship last season.[LNB]Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins has already reiterated he is not prepared to sell his top scorer, who has already netted nine goals during the current campaign, during the January transfer window.[LNB]Equally, City manager Gary Johnson has refused to speak about any of his transfer dealings in public, but the club's head of media Adam Baker told the Bristol Evening Post: "We are not in the market for Gary Hooper and we never have been. To suggest otherwise, is plain wrong.[LNB]"I don't know where this story has come from, because we have not even made an enquiry for the player, much less followed it up with a firm offer.[LNB]"I can say without a shadow of a doubt that Gary Hooper will not be joining Bristol City."[LNB][LNB]
