Johnson now knows the 23 sides he will be up against next term after Burnley condemned Sheffield United to another season in the second tier and Newcastle and Middlesbrough joined West Brom in dropping through the Premier League trap door. "If you wait around long enough the Premier League comes to you and that is exactly what has happened," he told the club's official website. "Middlesbrough and Newcastle are now in the Championship after long stays in the top level, along with West Brom who were champions of our division 12 months ago. "On top of that you've got the teams who went so close this season, Sheffield United, plus Reading and Preston. And at the other end Scunthorpe coming up will be determined to fare better and Leicester and Peterborough will be strong too. "It's going to be another tough season in the Championship - but an exciting one as well."
