Pitman praise for mentor Howe

Bristol City striker Brett Pitman paid tribute to Eddie Howe after heaping misery on the Burnley boss at Ashton Gate on Saturday. Clarets boss Eddie Howe developed the striker's talents while manager at Bournemouth before selling him to the Robins for £800,000 last summer. But that move came back to haunt Howe as Pitman scored one goal and made the other to deal Burnley's play-off hopes another damaging blow as City beat them 2-0. "I owe pretty much everything to Eddie. He gave me my chance at Bournemouth and my first real run in the team, which is why I am where I am," said Pitman. "But it's my job to score goals and he will understand that. He just happened to be the opposing manager and that wasn't in my mind when the ball fell to me. "There won't be any hard feelings."
