Boss Keith Millen described Bristol City`s performance in the 1-0 win at Swansea as his side`s best of the season.
Although the Anglo-Welsh rivals were separated by 15 points and 18 places before kick-off at the Liberty Stadium, Jon Stead's fifth-minute goal was enough to secure a memorable victory.
And City, now unbeaten in five matches and out of the Championship relegation zone for the first time since the end of September, will travel to Leeds on Saturday in increasingly confident mood.
"That was our most complete performance of the season," said Millen. "It's especially pleasing when you construct a game-plan and see your players carry it out to the letter.
"I thought the lads were magnificent. They defended well, worked hard for one another, kept their shape and discipline and, in the end, could have won the game by a wider margin.
"To come here, keep a clean sheet and beat a very good team takes some doing and the lads will take a lot of confidence from this performance. That's the best we've played this season."
