No Robins switch for Iriekpen
The former Swansea and Scunthorpe defender moved to Ashton Gate on a short-term contract in January following his release by the Iron.
He made nine appearances for Gary Johnson's side during his stay, which was hampered by a series of niggling injuries.
Johnson had expressed an interest in signing Iriekpen but the 27-year-old did not pass an end-of-season medical.
"Everyone had a medical at the end of the season," Johnson told the club's official website. "After Izzy's medical, and after discussions amongst my staff, we felt it was best he moved on.
"That's nothing against Izzy. He was unlucky but we just couldn't guarantee that he would be available for the whole season."
