New Bristol City deal for Skuse

Midfielder Cole Skuse has signed a new contract with Bristol City which will keep him at the Championship club until summer 2013.The 24-year-old was voted player of the year by City supporters last season. [LNB]"The end of the last season finished on a big high for me with the award," Skuse told the club's website. [LNB]"Then I got a phone call from the club to say they had a new contract offer. It didn't take me long to sign it at all," he added. [LNB]Skuse, who is a product of City's youth set-up, made his first-team debut as a substitute against Colchester United in February 2005. [LNB]He signed his first professional contract two months later. [LNB]"I've always been a Bristol City fan, all my family and friends are based here. Some say to me I'm stuck in the comfort zone but that's not true,." he said. [LNB]"We're in the Championship, pushing for the Premier League with a new manager and everything about the club, including the new training ground and stadium, is moving in the right direction."
