Millen perplexed by recent sackings

Bristol City boss Keith Millen has described the current trend of managerial sackings as "unbelievable". Twelve men have lost their jobs since Christmas Day, including Millen`s good friend Gary Johnson at Peterborough. "It`s an unbelievable statistic, 12 managers going since Christmas," Millen told the club`s official website. "A number of the one`s going aren`t doing too bad. There are managers with teams near the play-offs or even in the play-offs being sacked. "I was disappointed to see a good friend of mine Gary Johnson depart from Peterborough this week. He had been doing a good job there. "It`s a results business and unfortunately when the pressure builds it`s the manager that gets it. However, history shows that if you keep chopping and changing your manager then there is no consistency and often no success. "I`m just thankful that our chairman has patience and understands what I am trying to achieve here."
