Late strikes shock Robins

Norwich moved into second place in the npower Championship as two late goals handed them a 3-1 win over Bristol City. Grant Holt's first-minute penalty had given the Canaries the lead before Albert Adomah looked to have earned the Robins a point but strikes in the last two minutes from Henri Lansbury and Andrew Surman saw the Canaries home. Norwich took just 45 seconds to take the lead as a long ball up field from Zak Whitbread was firstly flicked on by Holt and then helped into the path of Wes Hoolahan by Simeon Jackson before the playmaker advanced into the area and was clumsily brought down by Liam Fontaine. Holt made no mistake from the spot, smashing the ball into the top corner and giving former England number one David James no chance. But Adomah, who was twice denied by John Ruddy in the first-half, made the home side pay on 65 minutes against the run of play when substitute Jamal Campbell-Ryce broke clear at pace and fed the midfielder, who placed the ball under the diving Ruddy to equalise. The home side went ahead in the 88th minute as substitute Lansbury raced through the Robins defence to slot past James before Surman ensured Norwich would pick up their 10th home win of the season with a third in stoppage time.
