Chairman Steve Lansdown believes David James' decision to join Bristol City will help the club lure more new players to Ashton Gate. England goalkeeper James raised eyebrows last Friday when he signed a one-year deal with the npower Championship club despite interest from Celtic and Sunderland. Lansdown hopes it will tempt other potential targets to move to the ambitious West Country outfit. He told Bristol City player: "When we are out there looking for players to come to join Bristol City Football Club, I think the fact that someone like David James has joined us makes it easier for players to think `actually Bristol City Football Club is a big football club I want to go there`."
