Johnson upset with Basso decision

The 34-year-old Brazilian keeper stunned the Robins on Tuesday when he turned down their offer of a new deal and asked to go on the transfer list. "I'm disappointed at what has happened," Johnson told his club's official website. "He's been given every opportunity to stay with us after being offered a fantastic contract by the club. "He decided to turn it down and request a transfer. That's sad and I'm personally disappointed about that because I think I've done a lot for him. "He's got to an age and a situation where he's chasing the money, if it's there, but the money was here and that's the only reason he wants to leave this football club. He wants to taste the money if it's out there." Johnson has already given former Swindon keeper Peter Brezovan a trial at Ashton Gate and will hand an opportunity to Czech stopper Martin Lejsal in Wednesday's game at Dorchester.
