Johnson: Izzy ready to get busy
The former West Ham trainee, 26, was released by Scunthorpe earlier this month after falling out with manager Nigel Adkins and has put pen to paper on a deal until the end of the season at Ashton Gate.[LNB]"Given that Jamie McCombe and James Wilson are both injured, we need an extra body in that position and Izzy is an experienced centre-half who offers us power and strength," said City manager Gary Johnson.[LNB]"He likes what he's seen here this week, wants to give it a go and wants to be a part of things.[LNB]"It's a short-term deal, but I've told him he has an opportunity to prove he's worth a longer contract beyond the end of the season."[LNB][LNB][LNB]
