Midfielder Eremenko, who has 39 Finland caps, caught the eye in Monday's 2-1 victory against the Bulls at Edgar Street and Greece Under-21 defender Papazacharias also staked his claim for a contract. Johnson told the Bristol Evening Post: "It's wrong to describe Alexei as a trialist, he's an established international with a good pedigree. "We liked what we've seen and that's why we've decided to invite him over here so we can have a closer look." Eremenko is waiting to discover his future as he gets a taste for life with the Championship club. "I am spending a few days in England. I will get to know the club, take part in training and after that a decision will be made," he told Sport Express. Johnson said of Papazacharias: "He's quick and strong and someone we've been monitoring. The lad has captained his club, is a natural leader and is definitely worth having a look at." Cole Skuse and Tristan Plummer were on the scoresheet for City after Lee Morris had put Hereford in front.
