Johnson eyeing improved finish

The Robins narrowly missed out on promotion last season when they lost out to Hull in the play-off final - but are mounting a second challenge for the Premier League this season.

Johnson's side currently sit fourth in the table and the City boss is adamant his side are more experienced this time around.

"I really do believe we're in better shape this time," Johnson told the Evening Post.

"That may sound strange, because we were higher up the table and about to go top of the league this time last season. But we lost key players to injury, went on a bad run and then fell away a bit during the run-in.

"Because we have greater strength in depth this year, I feel we're better equipped to maintain our top-six push."
