Johnson explains Basso's absence
The Brazilian was placed on the transfer list after refusing to sign a new contract in July and this week reportedly said he wanted to leave the club in January.[LNB]"Unless someone is 100% behind what we're doing then they're not going to be involved," manager Gary Johnson told BBC Radio Bristol.[LNB]"I asked him to not to come to the game as I didn't think he was going to be part of it, in his head as much as well as anything else."[LNB]Having tried to convince Basso to stay at Ashton Gate, the club are now resigned to losing him and say they will inform him immediately if any offers come in.[LNB][LNB]
