Johnson confident City can compete
The Robins captured Holland Under-21 midfielder Evander Sno and Costa Rica forward Alvaro Saborio on deadline day.
Both Sno and Saborio have agreed season-long loan deals from Ajax and FC Sion respectively, and Johnson believes his two new additions will enable the Robins to compete with the top teams in the Championship.
He told the Bristol Evening Post: "People will probably be a little bit shocked, because we've not signed players of this ilk in the past.
"They are not the kind of players Bristol City would be expected to sign.
"Other clubs are also making good signings, but bringing Sno and Saborio in shows we are in a position to compete. It shows we mean business."
